Delivery Update – Canada Post Negotiations (as of October 10, 2025)
Good news: The Canada Post Workers Union (CUPW) is ending its national strike and moving to rotating strikes starting Saturday at 6 a.m. local time. Mail and parcels will gradually resume circulating across the network, albeit with delays depending on the regions affected by the rotating stoppages.
What this means for your orders:
- Canada Post is gradually resuming its operations : processing and delivery have resumed on a limited basis; delays remain possible and may vary depending on the centres affected by the rotating strikes.
- Residual delays : Even after the resumption, Canada Post indicates that returning to normal will take time; service guarantees remain suspended during disruptions.
- Internal prioritization : all orders ready to ship via Canada Post will be injected into the network as soon as possible.
- Alternative options maintained : To reduce the impact of delays, alternative carriers (e.g., private services) may be offered at checkout depending on your address.
Quick background:
- National strike launched on September 25, leading to a near-total shutdown of mail and parcel processing and delivery.
- Announced transition to rotating strikes to "get mail and parcels moving again" while negotiations continue with Canada Post and the federal government.
- Canada Post has presented new comprehensive offers (including staggered wage increases) in a context of modernization and financial challenges; talks continue.
Practical advice for our customers:
- Choose an alternative carrier if available for more predictable delays during the rotating strike period.
- Allow additional time if you select Canada Post, especially for areas likely to be affected by rotating shutdowns.
- Monitor your shipment notifications: Tracking may update in waves as processing resumes at each facility.
Petite Sublime Commitment:
- Transparency on delivery times at the time of purchase and via confirmation email.
- Dynamically adjust shipping options to minimize delays.
- Responsive customer support: For any urgent order (birthday, gift, event), contact customer service to evaluate the best shipping option.
This page will be updated as Canada Post and the CUPW release new operational and negotiation progress information. Thank you for your patience and trust.
